Case 39

Renee Zellweger has to be one of the most annoying people to watch on the silver screen because her voice is so awful and her face looks like somebody just got done punching it….. Not to mention her acting skills. I must sit down and watch Case 39 then if I really wanted to watch a really bad good movie. Case 39 stars Renee Zellweger as a social worker who takes interest in a little girl who was almost killed by her parents. Only to find out that there is something wrong with this innocent little girl. The little girl is played by Jodelle Ferland who has previous been in a whole bunch of movies we never saw except she played Bree in Eclipse.
You know… Eclipse….it’s one of those vampire movies where the vampires don’t die from the sun and instead their skin turns into glitter. Case 39 also starred Bradley Cooper as Renee’s love interest.
I went into this movie thinking that it was a ghost movie where ghosts or demons haunt this little girl and I was way wrong. That little bitch turns out to be a demon and she torments everyone in her way until she gets what she wants.  Case 39 did the ultimate turn around on this little girl because she started out as the victim and ended as the one making everyone else victims. This movie had the classic scary movies things such as quiet set with a loud bang just to get the audience jumpy. Nothing really scary in this film except Zellwegers face (have you seen that thing?).
I like to compare movies to things from the past because nothing is original these days. If I had to compare this movie to anything it would be a mix of One Missed Call and that Twilight Zone episode of It’s a Good Life. If you do not remember It’s a Good Life it is the one where the kid has special powers and makes everyone scared of him and he gets what he wants. If the kid did not get what he wanted he tortured the victim until he got it. Case 39 was also like One Missed Call because the little girl would make a phone call and if you received that phone call then it means YOURE NEXT!
Final Rating: 2 out of 5 stars
Re-Watchable- Never again.
